Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove steak and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice into strips.
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Cook for 2-3 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
Pour in beef broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in heavy cream. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Return steak slices to the skillet and stir to combine.
Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated with the creamy sauce.
Stir in parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
